Die weitverbreitete PDF-Software Adobe Acrobat steht an der HHU auch mit dem neuen Lizenzvertrag für die Beschäftigten der Universität (ausgenommen die Medizinische Fakultät, s. unten) zur Verfügung.

Allerdings hat sich das Verfahren zur Aktivierung von Acrobat durch die Nutzerinnen und Nutzer grundlegend geändert: Adobe lässt im Rahmen des neuen Campusvertrags keine Lizenzschlüssel, sondern nur noch personenbezogene Accounts zur Lizenzaktivierung zu.

Daher bietet das ZIM ab sofort eine Webschnittstelle an, mit der sich die Beschäftigten der HHU (ohne Medizin) freiwillig für Adobe Accounts registrieren bzw. die so erzeugten Accounts auch wieder löschen können. Sie finden diese unter https://adobe.hhu.de. Wichtig: Die Seite ist nur aus dem HHU-LAN oder per VPN erreichbar.

Es gibt dort zwei Möglichkeiten:

• Registrierung eines Accounts für Acrobat Pro: Hier wird automatisch direkt eine Lizenz zugewiesen. Sie können sich mit dem so erzeugten Account in Ihrer vorhandenen Acrobat Pro-Installation anmelden. Neue Installationsdateien werden in der nächsten Woche im Software-Portal zu finden sein.
• Registrierung eines Accounts für die Creative Cloud (umfasst u.a. Adobe Photoshop): Hier wird die Lizenz erst nach der kostenpflichtigen Bestellung der Lizenz zugewiesen (auch ab nächster Woche im Softwareportal möglich). Benutzen Sie bitte solange Ihren bisherigen Account weiter.

Zur Erzeugung des Accounts ist eine Einwilligung in die Datenschutzinformationen und die Nutzungsbedingungen nötig. Diese Information werden Ihnen in der Webschnittstelle zur Verfügung gestellt.

Falls auf Ihrem Rechner noch eine alte HHU-Acrobat-Version (z.B. Acrobat Pro 2020) installiert ist, deinstallieren Sie diese bitte. Diese Version funktioniert nicht mehr. Eine neue HHU-Version des Acrobat Pro für Windows, die den Datenschutz- und Nutzungsbedingungen der HHU entspricht, können Sie übergangsweise auf der unten stehenden Wiki-Seite herunterladen.

Hinweis für die Beschäftigten der Medizin: Für Sie sind diese Informationen nicht relevant. Die Medizinische Fakultät hat sich nicht am Campusvertrag der HHU beteiligt, sondern einen eigenen Vertrag abgeschlossen. Bitte wenden Sie sich an die UKD-IT.

The widely used PDF software Adobe Acrobat is also available at HHU with the new license agreement for university employees (except for the Faculty of Medicine, see below).

However, the procedure for activating Acrobat by users has changed fundamentally: Under the new campus agreement, Adobe no longer allows license keys, but only personal accounts for license activation.

Therefore, ZIM now offers a web interface that allows HHU employees (excluding medical staff) to voluntarily register for Adobe accounts or delete accounts that have been created in this way. You can find this at https://adobe.hhu.de. Important: The page can only be accessed from the HHU LAN or via VPN.

There are two options:

• Registering an account for Acrobat Pro: A license will be assigned automatically. You can log in to your existing Acrobat Pro installation with the account you have created. New installation files will be available in the software portal next week.
• Registering an account for Creative Cloud (includes Adobe Photoshop, among other programs): In this case, the license will only be assigned after you have placed a paid order for the license (also possible in the software portal starting next week). Please continue to use your existing account in the meantime.

To create an account, you must agree to the privacy policy and terms of use. This information is provided in the web interface.

If an older version of HHU Acrobat (e.g., Acrobat Pro 2020) is still installed on your computer, please uninstall it. This version no longer works. A new HHU version of Acrobat Pro for Windows, which complies with the HHU's privacy policy and terms of use, can be downloaded from the wiki page below for the time being.
